Each axle slider is machined out of solid Delrin. Precision cuts are made in each slider to contour each specific axle end. On the threaded side of the axle, the slider slips over the axle nut and washer. The opposing side uses a peg that slips into the axle end for optimum strength and support. A 1/4-20 stainless steel threaded rod with locking nuts runs through the axle and sliders to hold them in place.

These sliders are made to withstand many crashes while showing only minimal deformation to the ends. The video link below shows a pretty wicked highside crash in which the sliders held their ground and were only scratched on a small portion of the outer edge.
